Comifuro 22 Was Bigger, Busier, and More Chaotic Than Ever

Comifuro 22 instantly felt different the moment people arrived at ICE BSD City. The crowd was massive even early in the morning, and by the middle of the day, walking through certain areas already felt difficult because of how packed everything became.

For longtime visitors, Comifuro 22 honestly felt much more crowded compared to previous events. Despite the chaos, the energy throughout the convention remained exciting because there was simply so much happening everywhere.

Held on May 16-17, 2026 at Hall 6-10 ICE BSD City in South Tangerang, Comifuro once again became one of the biggest pop culture and creator events in Indonesia. Fans came for cosplay, anime merchandise, indie creators, VTubers, fan art, games, music, and honestly just the overall atmosphere.

One thing became obvious very quickly during Comifuro 22. The event keeps getting bigger every single year.

The Crowd Felt Much More Intense This Year

People already expected Comifuro 22 to be crowded, but the actual situation still surprised many visitors.

Several hall areas became extremely packed during peak hours, especially near popular artist circles, cosplay gathering spots, and merchandise booths. Moving between sections sometimes took much longer than expected simply because of how dense the crowd became.

Despite that, the atmosphere still felt lively instead of exhausting most of the time. Visitors seemed genuinely excited to explore every section because there were so many things worth checking out.

Artist Circle Variety Was Honestly Impressive

One of the biggest strengths of Comifuro 22 was the sheer variety available throughout the event.

Visitors could find fan art, original comics, keychains, stickers, apparel, posters, acrylic stands, and handmade merchandise almost everywhere. Some artists focused heavily on anime and gacha games while others showcased completely original projects.

Walking around the halls honestly felt dangerous for wallets because there was always another booth selling something interesting nearby.

The indie creator scene especially stood out during Comifuro 22 because many smaller artists had incredibly high-quality merchandise and creative booth presentations.

Cosplayers Were Everywhere

A huge part of the Comifuro experience always comes from the cosplay community, and Comifuro 22 definitely delivered in that department.

Visitors could spot cosplayers almost everywhere inside and outside the halls. Popular anime characters, VTubers, game characters, and even meme costumes appeared constantly throughout the event.

The cosplay scene helped make Comifuro 22 feel even more alive and energetic during both event days.

Food Areas Became Extremely Chaotic

Not everything about Comifuro 22 felt smooth unfortunately, especially around the food stalls.

The food area became one of the most crowded sections during lunch hours. Long queues appeared almost everywhere, especially at more popular vendors.

Some visitors also complained that several food stalls felt overpriced compared to normal convention expectations. Paying premium prices at events is nothing new, but this year the pricing became much more noticeable for many attendees.

The combination of packed queues and crowded walkways made the food section one of the most exhausting parts of the event.

The Event Felt Bigger Than Previous Comifuro Events

A lot of returning visitors shared similar opinions during Comifuro 22. The event simply felt much larger compared to older editions.

The crowd size, creator variety, booth count, and overall activity level all felt noticeably bigger this year. At certain moments, the convention honestly resembled a giant festival instead of a normal community event.

That growth shows how massive anime, gaming, cosplay, and creator culture has become in Indonesia recently.

Comifuro no longer feels like a niche event anymore. It now feels like one of the biggest community gatherings for pop culture fans in the country.

ICE BSD City Still Fits the Event Well

Even with the massive crowd, ICE BSD City still remains one of the better venues for large conventions like Comifuro 22.

The hall space allowed organizers to separate different sections reasonably well, although several areas still became overcrowded during peak hours. Accessibility around BSD also helped many visitors travel more easily compared to smaller venues.

Still, the growing attendance does raise questions about how future Comifuro events will handle even larger crowds moving forward.

Comifuro 22 felt exciting, crowded, chaotic, exhausting, and fun all at the same time. The event successfully brought together artists, cosplayers, anime fans, gamers, and creators into one huge community gathering that stayed lively during both days.

The food area problems and overwhelming crowd size definitely became noticeable issues, but the atmosphere, creator variety, and overall energy still made Comifuro 22 feel memorable for many visitors.
